I bought a car with your tune on it, can you provide details about the car and/or the tune?
This is a common question and we understand why. When you buy a modified vehicle, knowing its condition is probably a bit more important than if it wasn't modified, not to mention the modifications it has that you might not know about.
Ultimately, the condition of the car is completely your responsibility to know about and research, whether you do that before purchasing it, or after. We obviously recommend knowing as much info as you can pre-purchase.
We cannot reasonably make suggestions about the car and it's current state, even if we have an email from the previous owner from a month before you purchased it. People part out their cars and uninstall AccessPorts or other tuning devices all the time without us knowing about it. A more unfortunate change that happens might be a recently failed component or engine that we also don't know about. Many people sell cars after incidents that cause this because they don't want to deal with it. We are not able to comment about what is on the car or it's currently condition.
We also get asked about the exact tune that's on the vehicle. While we also understand knowing what tune is on the car is important, we usually can't make any comments about what tune is on the car either. We don't know if the seller has modified anything about what we've done including changing tuners or maps they've flashed.
Another tricky part of this is releasing personal information. We will never release information about previous owners.
Just about the only thing we can do is confirm if we have tuned the vehicle in the past and that is only accomplished by knowing the serial number of the device used to tune the car. If you don't have that, we cannot provide any insight whatsoever. We do not track tunes by VIN.
If your car does have the tuning device we used to tune it, we still suggest getting the car tuned with us to make sure it's running well and tuned for the mods it currently has or the ones you want to put on after purchasing. Because of the uncertainty and variables out of our control, we only offer new tuning services for new customers. Tuning does not follow the car, only the customer. We cannot do revisions to older maps from different customers.
If your car is known or suspected to be tuned by us and does not have a tuning device with it, we suggest getting the device immediately and getting a new tune.
